Low Key For The New Year

I have been looking into doing more low key photography because I love the old school black and white movies that did a great job of using low key lighting effects to add drama to scenes.  So the following images are my attempt at low key lighting.  Comment and let me know what you think.

Mini Skirts and Tennis Racquets

Here's another Image I shot for B. Adore that I really loved and wanted to share with you all.  The model is also an European tennis player.  She was still new to modeling however she was a great sport (pun intended) and we were able to capture some great images.

Barcelona Beach Sunrise

Barcelona Sunrise

Here are two shots from a Barcelona beach that I took at sunrise.  To think I almost didnt get out of bed because the day before it was so cloudy that I was not able to see the sun.  However, I reluctantly got out of bed at 7am just in time to catch the sun as it peaked over the waters edge.

Barcelona W

I don't get a chance to do landscape photography often but here is a photo from my trip to Barcelona.  I was trying to catch the sunrise but because it was so cloudy I never got a glimpse of the sun but I did get a great view anyway!

I'm back!

It has been to long since I've posted here but my photography never stopped so now it's time to catch everyone up on my progress as a fashion photographer and sometimes other genres in between!  Photos coming soon!

Model: Sofia Cavelius

So I had the opportunity to work with this young model who is still trying to break into the modeling industry and I think she has what it takes.  She has a sort of charisma that shines when she's behind the camera.  Initially she was very shy and a bit quiet.  However, this could have been due to the language barrier in that she is German and my German language skills are sub par to say the most.  Anyway I didn't have to say much once she got in front of the camera.  I put her into her initial pose and let her work her way around the work space. She moved subtly and graciously with each flash of the camera generating new pose although slightly different than the last but presenting a whole new vision for the camera to capture.  It was a pleasure to work with Sofia and it shows in the finished product.
